We are a popular Catholic Primary school with caring, courteous children and a friendly, committed staff team.
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about children’s learning and emotional wellbeing, to work alongside our experienced teaching staff. The successful candidate will be required to support a child with additional needs, in order to enable them to fully access the teaching and learning to reach their potential to access all areas of teaching and learning and achieve their full potential. At times this will include working 1:1 and with groups of children, both in and outside of the classroom, under the guidance of the class teacher and inclusion manager.
• Previous experience of working with children with SEN needs (particularly speech and language) on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Enthusiastic about working with vulnerable children
• Passionate about meeting children’s learning needs
• Good English and Mathematics skills
• Good standard of spoken English
• A good communicator and team member who is caring, flexible and approachable
The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Class Teacher/Inclusion Manager to support an individual pupil and small groups of pupils.
