Part-time Learning Support Assistant, KS2
Grade 5 Point 7 (£18,426 pa, pro rata. £9.55ph. Pay award pending)
17 ½ hours per week, term time only plus INSET days
8.30am – 12 noon, Monday to Friday
1 year fixed term contract till July 2021
Start Date: 24th August 2020.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team on 24th August 2020. This is a fixed term contract until July 2021.
We are looking for someone who is hardworking, flexible, caring and creative. We need someone who works well as part of a team but who is also able to work on their own initiative.
The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the class teacher to support pupils in their learning. You will be required to provide general support in the management of pupils in class and in preparing the learning environment. You will also be required to provide support in the classroom by working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. School based experience would be an advantage.
We are seeking a candidate who has an excellent command of the English language (to include speaking and written skills) and maths, and can show a flexible and adaptable professional approach. Applicants must have GCSE English and Maths or NVQ2 in literacy and numeracy or an equivalent qualification.
