Learning Support Assistant
OCL/NJC Scale Point 04 (Bristol Grade 5) + Local Government Pension Scheme
Salary £18,426 FTE, actual salary £8,258 (cost of living pay rise pending)
Maternity Cover – Until end of February 2021 or on the return of the member of staff if sooner
19.5 hours per week, Term time only including INSET Days
8.30am – 3.45pm
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oasis Academy Long Cross for an enthusiastic and caring individual to provide support for learning activities on an individual or small group basis in our specialist Resource Base, under the direction of the line manager.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable Learning Support Assistant to join our highly skilled team, who is committed to providing outstanding provision for children with severe and complex learning difficulties, including autism. We need a resilient, positive practitioner who shows a good understanding of child development and a clear knowledge of the curriculum.
Candidates will be expected to have at least an NVQ2 or equivalent qualification or be working towards this and experience of working with children with SEND in either a mainstream or special school provision.
