Learning Support Assistant
- Based at Ashley Down Primary School
22.5 hours per week (over 5 days, hours to be agreed)
Fixed Term Contract subject to on-going funding
Start date: ASAP
This appointment is offered on a fixed term basis until 31/08/21, subject to funding. BG6 Term time only + Inset Days (Hours & end date may be extended if funding applications are successful)
An opportunity has arisen to work at our successful, happy, caring and inclusive school as part of our team at Ashley Down Primary School. The role is to enhance ratios in our Reception classes to support children with additional needs.
Previous experience working with pupils with SEN is essential. We are looking for someone with current experience to work very closely with the class teacher, teaching partners, phase leader and other involved professionals to meet the pupil’s educational, social, emotional and developmental needs. An understanding of how to support children with ASC would be an advantage.
Support will be given to the successful candidate, from within the school itself and through relevant training as appropriate.
You will be:
- Fully committed to inclusion
- Experienced in working with children ideally across the Primary setting
- Enthusiastic, reliable and able to work effectively in a team
- Able to liaise and communicate with a range of stakeholders
