Learning Support Assistant - Full-time, term time only– Fixed-Term contract.
St. David’s College is a popular and over-subscribed Sixth Form College providing high quality education for 16-19 year olds within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. In our 2019 Estyn inspection we achieved an ‘excellent’ grade in inspection area one for standards, and in inspection area five for leadership and management.
Governors seek to appoint an enthusiastic team member for our Learning Support Department. The department assists students in need of Additional Learning Support during their time at college.
The Learning Support Assistant will support a range of students with varying needs either in a 1:1 session or within class. Some support may be required to and from classes, as well as break-time supervision.
Examples of Additional learning Support Needs include physical or sensory impairment, general or Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), emotional or behavioural difficulties, mental health problems and literacy/numeracy needs.

The position is offered as a full –time role on a fixed term contract of 1 year. It attracts a salary of £18,016(£15,227 Term- time only).

The College operates a Sixth Form College academic year and therefore the Autumn Term begins in late August to allow for enrolment activities.
