LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT (to include lunchtime supervision)

Scale 1C3, points 2-6 (£21,030 - £22,587 FTE), (£8,773 - £9,422 p.a. pro-rata)

Our School is changing and growing. Already successful and at the heart of the community we want to step up a gear and raise standards even further whilst making sure our creative curriculum continues to meet the needs of every child. The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to join our successful and happy team. This role is to support children in class and also during lunchtime.
The hours of work will be as follows:
Monday to Friday:
11:05am-3:00pm (including a 25 minute unpaid break), plus 30 additional minutes to be worked on one day per week, day to be agreed with Class Teacher.
The successful candidate will be flexible, hardworking, show initiative, have a good sense of humour, work well as part of a team and be willing to undertake training.
- Hold an NVQ Level 2 or above in Specialist Teaching & Learning Support, Teaching & Learning Support, Childcare Learning & Development or equivalent.
- Have good literacy and numeracy skills - equivalent to at least Basic Skills Level 2/GCSE Grade C in English & Maths.
- Have experience of working with primary aged children and the ability to demonstrate high quality phonics teaching and support.
