Learning Support Assistant – Early Years
Temporary position for the Summer 2021 Academic Term
Part- Time – Term Time only (38 weeks p.a.)
25 hours per week
Scale ME 4 - F.T.E. £21408 pa pro-rata. Equates to approx. £12845 pa

We are looking for a Temporary Learning Support Assistant to support pupils in the Early Years until the end of the 20/21 academic year.
You will support children with language and communication needs who are at the very early stages of language and learning development. Activities will need to be broken down into smaller more manageable tasks and high interest activities offered to provide motivation to engage. You will also be required to help them to understand instructions and convey their own needs as well as provide encouragement for them to actively engage with their peers.
Ideal candidates will be supportive and committed with previous experience of supporting children with additional needs within a mainstream classroom. It would also be desirable for applicants to have experience of supporting children on the Autistic Spectrum, with speech, language and communication difficulties.
You will be joining a committed and dedicated team of teachers and support staff in a role that offers opportunities for professional development and involvement in the life of the whole school.
