We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, flexible, caring and creative. We need someone who works well as part of a team but who is also able to work on their own initiative.

The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Class Teacher to support pupils in their learning. You will be required to provide general support in the management of pupils in class and in preparing the learning environment. You will also be required to provide support in the classroom by working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. Responsibilities will also include lunchtime supervision duties and providing short term supervision of classes in the event of the absence of the teacher.
School-based experience is essential. We are seeking a candidate who has an excellent command of the English language (to include speaking and written skills) and maths, and can show a flexible and adaptable professional approach. Applicants must have GCSE English and Maths or NVQ2 in literacy and numeracy or an equivalent qualification.
