Learning Support Assistant
Salary: The salary will be competitive, depending on experience.
Notting Hill Prep is a popular, co-educational school in the heart of Notting Hill with a staff of highly committed and passionate staff. We are seeking to recruit a full-time Learning Support Assistant to provide support primarily for a pupil with recently diagnosed ADHD and some signs of PDA. The LSA will help the pupil to sustain focus, follow instructions and participate in activities undertaken by other children in the class. The LSA will also be required to assist with other children needing support, as coordinated by the SENCO.
This will suit someone with previous experience as an LSA: someone who is flexible, imaginative and patient: someone who can build positive relationships with pupils and motivate them to engage and try their best: someone who can communicate easily with a range of subject teachers and parents. To start as soon as possible.
Notting Hill Prep is a ‘Thinking School’, a title which reflects its intelligent approach to education and its devotion to instilling in its children the values of resilience, creativity and responsibility, which it holds dear. We teach children not merely to learn, but to learn how to learn. The successful applicant will share the school’s aspirations.
This role will involve contact with and responsibility for children and will amount to ‘regulated activity’.
