Learning Support Assistant – Fixed term until 21st July 2023
1 x Brunel Field Primary School & 1 x Ashley Down Primary School
32.5 hours per week (8.30 – 3.30 with half an hour unpaid lunch break)
Start Date: 1st September 2022
Salary: BG6 Term time only + 5 Inset days (Salary scale £19,698 - £20,092 per annum, pro rata)
An opportunity has arisen to work at Brunel Field Primary and Ashley Down Primary School to join our successful, happy, caring and inclusive teams. We are looking for 2 x practitioners who are passionate and highly committed to inclusion and high standards of achievement for all learners. The role is to work within a year group team and the successful applicants will be able to inspire, challenge and stimulate learning, whilst being hard-working, cheerful and patient. The role involves both in-class support and the delivery of 1:1 and group interventions.
Experience/ ability to deliver Reading, Phonics, Writing or Maths intervention programmes are a definite advantage. Understanding of attachment needs, or supporting those with challenging behaviour would also be desirable.
Support will be given to the successful candidate, from within the school itself and through relevant training as appropriate.

- Experienced in working with children ideally across the Primary setting
- Enthusiastic, reliable and able to work effectively in a team
- Able to liaise and communicate with a range of stakeholders
