Learning Support Assistant x 2 Vacancies
- Post 1: 16½ hours a week (5½ hours a day Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - 8:30am-2:45pm based on current staggered times) with 20 minutes break and 25 minutes lunch break. Supporting a Year 4 pupil with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. (Post may return to 8.45am-3pm if returning to normal school day).
- Post 2: 7hrs 55 minutes a week (1:30-3:05pm Monday to Friday - based on current staggered hours). Supporting a Year 5 pupil with both learning and behavioural difficulties. (Post may return to 7½ hrs if staggered times are dropped – normal end time would be 3pm).
Contract: All posts are temporary until 21st July 2021 when staffing will be reviewed due to funding. To start as soon as possible.
Salary: JG3/SCP5-6 (£19,312-£19,698 per annum, pro rata). Term time only and excludes Inset Days
St Martin's C of E Primary School is looking to appoint 2 Learning Support Assistants in the above roles to start as soon as possible. Experience of working in a school and having a good understanding of how to support children with Special Educational Needs is essential for these positions. The successful candidate must have good levels of English and Maths and have the ability to work well within a team.
This is an exciting time to join our school as we have recently set up a Multi-Academy Trust (Kaleidoscope MAT) with six other local primary schools. St Martin’s are now part of the Kaleidoscope MAT with Ashcombe, Becket, Christ Church, Crockerne, Hutton and Worle Village Primary Schools. As part of this arrangement you may be required to work at one of these schools as business needs dictate.
