Air Balloon Hill Primary School is seeking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated and resilient Learning Support Assistants to join our supportive and committed team. The successful candidates will be working in a variety of posts within our school community. The roles we seek to fill could include classroom support for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health, Cognition and Learning or Communication and Interaction needs. The role will also include opportunities to deliver evidence based interventions 1:1 or to small groups of pupils.
The successful candidates will be well organised, have strong communication skills and will work effectively as part of a team. They will be able to demonstrate initiative and will have a commitment to raising standards. We are looking for learning support assistants who are able to build positive relationships with pupils and have experience working with children with a variety of needs. The successful candidates will also have a range of effective, positive behaviour management skills. We can offer the successful candidates experience working in a large vibrant and inclusive school with experienced, skilled staff and a supportive pastoral team.
Our current vacancies are fixed term contracts starting on 1st September 2022 until 31st August 2023, pending a review of the staffing structure and SEND provision for the following academic year.
32.5 hours per week (8.30am – 3.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break)
All posts are term time only with the requirement to attend on two of the school’s inset days.
Salary to be paid on the Bristol Grade 7 scale £20,852 - £22,129 (pro rata), £15,760 actual salary.
