Salary: £17,026 - £18,532 pro rata for part time
Hours: Part-time hours; from 15hs to 30hrs per week – 38 weeks per year, term time only (various posts required to meet business and timetable requirements; Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm although times and days may vary)
We are looking to recruit experienced Learning Support Practitioners (LSPs) to join our Additional Learning Support Team at our campus in Tonbridge.
You will provide academic and motivational support to students who have a range of learning differences and other barriers, including; autistic spectrum condition, ADHD, speech, language and communication, complex and specific learning difficulties, physical and medical conditions, visual impairment, and social emotional and mental health.
• One to one or group support within a classroom, practical or workshop setting. You might also be required to provide support to students during unstructured times and when out on work experience placements.
You need to have:
• Proven experience working with students with learning difficulties
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• A high standard of IT skills
• Level 2 or 3 learning support qualification or the desire to achieve
• GCSE/equivalent in Maths and English
In addition to the minimum requirements detailed above you will need to demonstrate that you can work as part of a team and be flexibly to meet the business and department need.
Areas of work:
• Students will be following Further Education course across all levels and subjects, including Foundation Learning.
