About the role:
You will be responsible for teaching on the Access to Law and Access to Business L3 Diplomas with adult learners 19+. You will be primarily responsible for planning and delivering Law units linked to the Access to Law diploma in addition to which you will be expected to deliver a number of units linked to Access to Business diploma. As course tutor you will also be expected to deliver pastoral units during tutorial times and study skills units across both diplomas within dedicated teaching slots. Other general curriculum responsibilities will include assessment, tracking student achievement, development of teaching resources, lesson plans, schemes of learning, supporting the UCAS process, participation in quality processes and all administration tasks for the courses. As a lecturer within the AVOC department there is an expectation to deliver high quality classroom based and online based lessons. You will fully engage in CPD and team development activities.
You will have appropriate experience and qualifications reflecting a strong background in Law and Business education alongside a teaching qualification and preferably industry experience. You will have a history of teaching within a vocational context to a high standard, with personal / group tutoring experience. You must have the ability to communicate with students and to motivate and support them in their studies.
