The Faculty of Visitor Economy forms part of the Myrddin Directorate and delivers a range of full time and part time courses across a range of subject areas from level 1 to degree level.
The Curriculum Area has very effective working partnerships with industry and continues to experience growth in FE and HE provision.
The learning area is located on the Pibwrlwyd campus in Carmarthen. It offers a comprehensive range of programmes in Business, Management, and Accounting. This range covers programmes starting at Level 1 to Level 5. These are offered in a variety of modes reflecting the curriculum area’s strategic objective of making access to learning as flexible as possible. Most accounting and management students’ study part-time.
The Business/Management further education programme area includes Certificates and Diplomas in Business, Association of Accounting Technicians courses and ILM Management and Leadership. The responsibilities for this post focus on our accounting and business provision and the core of the work will be within the AAT programmes level 2 to level 4. However, the successful applicant could also be expected to contribute to a range of other lower and higher-level courses. All applicants should be able to demonstrate current up to date AAT CPD. and effective information technology/ICT skills and knowledge of up to date software. The successful applicant will be based on our Pibwrlwyd Campus, Carmarthen but could be expected to teach at any of our College Campuses from time to time.
