Salary: £24,202 - £32,463 pro-rata (£3,008.90 - £4,035.94 per annum for the hours stated)

About the role

In this exciting and high-potential role, you will be at the heart of our progressive plans for future development and course leader for the Level 3 Diploma in counselling. You will be teaching students who are studying for the Level 3 Counselling course.
BACP accredited or other registered body, with a sound professional background, proven teaching experience and experience of delivery of the Level 3 Counselling or equivalent course, you should also have the ability to support and motivate a team. Equally importantly, you will bring a strong commitment to helping every student achieve their full potential. You will need to hold a teaching qualification, or the desire to attain this. Level 2 English and Maths is required.

We want to ensure the best quality of teaching for our students and we expect all unqualified Lecturers and Assessor to complete a Diploma in Education and Teaching (DET) (or equivalent) and we ask that new staff enrol on the first available course.
As well as offering excellent training facilities, the College will support you with a reduced teaching commitment in your first year, generous annual leave entitlement, access to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme. On top of this, the College offers financial support when you complete Initial Teacher Training course via West Kent and Ashford College. You will receive £600 at the end of your first year of employment at the College as a fully qualified teacher and £750 at the end of the second year of employment.
