The Sheffield College
Due to continued expansion within the ESOL provision we are looking to recruit a number of highly experienced qualified staff to join our lecturing team. Applicants must be willing to work across the current 6 Sheffield based sites, 1 Doncaster site as well as any others which come online in the future. You should have experience of teaching 16-18s, 19+ Adults and JCP ESOL programmes. The diversity of the programme means you may be required to work daytime, twilight or evenings. Applicants must be familiar with (or willing to train on) all college systems, take part in Continuous Professional Development and make positive contributions to curriculum development and to the wider college vision of becoming a consistently good college by 2020.
The main focus of the role is to provide our learners with teaching, learning and assessment at a very high standard together with an exceptional student experience which allows them to not only achieve but surpass their personal and academic targets. Applicants must be able to teach Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing across all levels of ESOL from Pre Entry to Level 2 and be fully conversant with Initial and Diagnostic Assessments, the ESOL Core Curriculum and City and Guilds ESOL Skills for Life 4692 Assessments.
