The post of Lecturer in Film Production & Cinematography will support delivery of the Bournemouth University validated programme based at our Salisbury campus within the department of Creative Arts & Media. The Lecturer in Film Production and Cinematography will have relevant and current industry experience in TV and Film production, ongoing research and professional practice activities, specialist knowledge and expertise in film making, and be passionate about enabling students to produce innovative and high-quality content. Our HE courses produce award-winning films and we are looking for a talented and ambitious person who can contribute to our growing university level provision.
Our courses focus on a personalised, student-centred approach preparing individuals to work in the Film industry in the future. We welcome applications from candidates who possess an undergraduate degree in Film or related Media subject and a teaching qualification, a postgraduate degree is desirable. The post holder will be required to help students develop the core skills and fundamental knowledge associated with this subject, inspiring students through varied and relevant teaching through studio practice and supervising dissertations. You will have strong organisational skills, expertise in planning, developing and delivering teaching and learning across a range of theory and practical modules, at both FE and HE levels.
We are interested in hearing from individuals who are effective team players, keen to build relationships which can enrich the student experience, participate in building networks for work placements, and have the desire to work collaboratively with the immediate and wider team.
