Salary: Grade 5, point 5- 7 £19,312 to £20,092 FTE
Salary: Actual Salary: £16,536 to £17,204 per annum

Bluecoat Wollaton Academy is looking to appoint a Level 1 Teaching Assistant of the Visually Impaired to work with specifically named students with Visual Impairment. You will work closely with an experienced Level 2 Specialist Teaching Assistant of the Visually Impaired, who will provide support and guidance. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Academy and work within a team committed to improving attainment levels for students within the school. Applicants will have a passion for teaching and learning and an inclusive approach to education for all students. We are looking forward to welcoming new members of staff who can help fulfil our vision for supporting students with a varied range of visual impairments and additional needs across the school.
The successful applicants will be professional, adaptable and dedicated to delivering high quality teaching and educational support, ideally with experience of working students and young people. They will have strong communication skills with a range of stakeholders, including colleagues, leaders, parents / carers and students, and will be able to work cooperatively and effectively within a team of teaching assistants. They will be motivated and resilient, able to demonstrate the skills required to engage students in their learning.

The role will be based at the Trust’s Bluecoat Wollaton Academy but the post holders may at any time be required to support or work at any of the sites within Archway Learning Trust.
Archway Learning Trust, previously Bluecoat Academies Trust was formed in April 2014 as a result of the very long and successful history of Bluecoat Academy. We recently welcomed three further secondary schools in Derby to the Trust and are excited to be opening Bluecoat Trent Academy, a secondary Free School in Nottingham in September 2021.
