This ‘good’, over-subscribed, very popular, multi-ethnic, inner city primary school requires 3 energetic, enthusiastic teaching assistants to support pupils with complex SEN, in any year group F1-Y6 as required by the school, 1:1 and in small groups. The Special Educational Needs of key pupils may include Autism, behavioural needs, SLCN and intimate care, among others.
The successful candidates will be expected (with the support of the school’s SENDCo) to read and understand an Education, Health and Care Plan, read and understand advice from external support agencies, and record observations in writing and using basic ICT.
Post 1: Hours of work: 8.30 a.m. until 3.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays with half an hour unpaid lunch during term time plus 5 staff training days (Inset)
Post 2: Hours of work 08:30 a.m. until 3.30 p.m. 2 days, hours to be agreed with half an hour unpaid lunch, plus 2 staff training days (Inset)
Scale and salary Band 3 Point 5-6 £19,312 to £19,698 pro rata to the post.
