Fairfield High School are looking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work with visually impaired students for 37 hours per week, fixed term from 20/04/20 (or before if available) to 31/08/21. This role involves supporting students in lessons throughout the day, supporting students around the school and preparation of modified resources for pupils.
The successful applicant should have excellent communication skills in order to work with other members of the visually impaired support team and classroom teachers of visually impaired students.
Actual salary for 37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 inset days is £18,486 rising to £20,410 (based on full time equivalent of £21,589 - £23,836 per annum).
You will report directly to the Director of Individual Development (SENCO)
The successful applicant will either already possess skills to braille, or be prepared to learn skills of braille.
You will be joining a team of highly skilled and specialist support staff in Fairfield’s SEN department.
