North Cornwall Learning Trust (NCLT) are looking to appoint a Trust Management Accountant and Business Support Assistant to work 15 hours per week. This is a permanent contract working 38 weeks (term time) per year + 5 PD Days + 4 weeks in the school holidays.

A Trust Management Accountant and Business Support Assistant is required to play a key role in supporting the financial and business affairs of the Trust and to ensure the Trust complies with financial regulations. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and excellent management accounting skills, preferably within the education sector in both secondary and primary phases. Excellent working knowledge of Capita SIMS, FMS or Access Education Finance software and school/academy finance is an advantage and you must be proficient in the use of Excel and hold relevant financial and accountancy qualifications (minimum AAT Level 3 essential, Level 4 desirable). This role will involve travelling to and working at schools across the Trust.
Under direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the accounting system for the Multi Academy Trust and undertaking standard monthly routines. The role will involve preparing and analysing monthly management accounts and reporting on budget forecasts to key stakeholders.
