College location: This is a College Group role that is predominantly based at East Surrey College (Redhill) but
with regular travel to John Ruskin College (Croydon)
Salary: Circa £32,000 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)
Hours: Full time (37 hours/week)
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Marketing Manager to help assist the Head of Department in running our successful Group Marketing department.
In this exciting role you will lead a team to drive forward Orbital South Colleges’ brand presence within the region and support the Head of Marketing to deliver online and offline marketing campaigns and event planning to meet and where possible exceed College Strategic targets.
Working closely with the Head of Department you will have the ownership of the Orbital South Colleges brand identity and will be responsible for setting the creative direction for the brand and disseminating messages to ensure consistent roll-out across the Group. As a Marketing Manager you will be expected to deputise in the Head of Marketing’s absence in order to ensure the department continues to run smoothly.
You will proof read and quality control all Marketing communication items, to ensure a high-quality consistent brand message at every touchpoint and you will manage website content across all College websites, co-ordinating website copy and visual identity using the Group Content Management Systems. You will also be involved in preparing the Colleges’ creative annual campaign calendars, as well as planning, executing and analysing campaigns across all channels.
The successful candidate must have:
•Proven ability to provide effective leadership, staff development and management of change
•Proven ability to lead and advise on all marketing strategies
•Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with both external clients and co-workers at all levels
•Proven track record of effectively working in a responsive, fast paced team environment
•An enthusiastic, positive, flexible and motivated approach to work, with the ability to motivate others
