Based across the county on 4 main campuses, the College offers an extensive range of courses at all levels and has ambitious plans for growth in a region with exciting potential.
We are currently seeking a Marketing Officer at our Chippenham Campus. A key responsibility will be to develop links with local schools to promote all Wiltshire College & University Centre courses – 14-16, 16+, Apprenticeships, and Higher Education.
Working within a vibrant marketing team, you will work in partnership with departments across the College to deliver creative, innovative and successful marketing campaigns for target customer groups that drive applications.
You will also be expected to plan and coordinate a schedule of internal and external events including open events, school and careers events, exhibitions and taster days, so the role would very much suit an organised and confident individual. The role will include working with the Digital and Social Media Editor to ensure that content on the website is accurate and up to date, while also making sure the Chippenham campus is featured across our social media platforms on a daily basis. In addition, you will work with the Marketing Team Leader to identify opportunities to generate positive publicity and collate and write case studies to support marketing activity.
Due to the nature of this role, there will be occasions when evening and weekend work is required and cross county travel is also involved, so a flexible working attitude is essential.
The successful candidate may have worked within a similar role previously and will hold or be willing to work towards a marketing (or related qualification) at Level 4 or above. You will have experience of planning and delivering a range of marketing and communication activities and events, knowledge of social media, you’ll be a confident communicator, and you will have strong copywriting and proof-reading skills.
