We are recruiting a Mental Health and Student Support Lead who will drive and actively promote mental health and wellbeing across the Academy.
As part of the Inclusion department, our successful candidate will lead our team of Student Support Workers responsible for enabling all students to reach their full potential. Our dedicated team, work with students one-to-one and in groups to remove barriers to learning and support Teachers in managing social, emotional and behavioural concerns. This post holder will work closely with our senior leadership team and SENCO, as well as parents and external agencies, to provide appropriate interventions and referrals and enable staff the tools and confidence to work with students.
Our ideal candidate with be well qualified and have experience of working with emotional, social and behavioural issues in a school, sixth form or relevant context. You will ideally be educated to at least ‘A’ level or equivalent with additional training in mental health and wellbeing of young people. You will be an engaging team leader with excellent communication skills, able to work flexibly and methodically.
You will be comfortable using the Microsoft suite of products, experience of using SIMS would be advantageous, however training will be provided.
This post is full-time working 36 hours (exclusive of rest breaks) Monday to Friday, term-time plus up to 4 weeks holiday work.

The FTE salary for this post is £26,460 to £30,000pa therefore the actual salary for this post, for working full time 36 hours per week, term time plus 4 weeks holiday work is £25,000 to £28,390 pa.
