MIDDAY SUPERVISORY ASSISTANT (MDSA)
Temporary to permanent following successful probation period
START – ASAP; start date can be negotiated
Working hours: 11.45 A.M. - 1.15 P.M. DURING TERM TIME
SALARY £3,148 PER ANNUM PAID IN 12 EQUAL INSTALMENTS

Oaklands is a rapidly expanding special needs primary school and we are looking for enthusiastic and well-motivated people to work within our existing team. Training will be given to the right candidates. Our lovely children have significant learning difficulties and need MDSAs who are kind, positive and enjoy playing games to help them have a peaceful and happy lunchtime. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of food to classrooms and to support children with independence in eating and drinking, as well developing social skills. Once children have eaten, you will work alongside school staff to support children in purposeful play. In addition, MDSAs are responsible for setting out, putting away and cleaning of equipment used at lunchtimes.
You will have thorough safeguarding and Health & Safety training if appointed, and will sometimes need to be available outside term time for staff training (Up to 2 days; to be paid separately). You will have advance notice of any additional training days/ sessions.
