PART TIME MUSIC COORDINATOR/ADMINISTRATOR

12 hours per week during term time (plus additional 24 hours per annum)
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, who can work well within a team and is able to establish good relationships with colleagues, music instructors, parents and students.
In particular we are seeking an excellent administrator and communicator, with the ability to effectively prioritise within a busy environment that currently provides over 300 music tuition lessons per week. The Coordinator will also assist with workshops and events throughout the year. Good general IT skills are needed, including knowledge of Microsoft Office software and managing databases.
The role is 12 hours per week and the working pattern ideally covers at least four days per week. There is flexibility as to the pattern of hours although there is a minimum requirement that the hours cover one of the two school break times (morning or lunch). Flexibility to attend occasional (planned) events, outside of core hours, including evening performances, is required. Actual pattern of hours will be agreed with the successful candidate.
The Music Department is very well resourced with two teaching rooms, an additional ICT suite furnished with 20 new Apple Mac computers, a fully equipped recording studio and suite of practice rooms for our team of 12 peripatetic music teachers. The work of the department is supported by a part-time administrator and a full-time music technician.
