We are looking to appoint an experienced person to complement our existing excellent team of support staff on a contract linked to a named pupil currently in KS1. The role will entail working with the pupil on a 1:1 basis, supporting them to engage with activities both in and out of the classroom.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a warm and caring approach to the child they work with and will be confident in supporting the emotional and behavioural needs of this child. We are seeking a candidate who is friendly, flexible, compassionate and who already has experience of working with children with emotional and behavioural needs. They will also be able to develop the child’s basic Maths and English skills under the direction of the class teacher. This person will be able to effectively support the named pupil during learning activities and also during unstructured times (break and lunch times).
The successful candidate will be able to form productive working relationships with the class teacher, SENDCo, parents and other outside agencies.
In return we can offer: friendly, enthusiastic pupils; a hard-working and supportive team; a school based in a supportive community with engaged parents and a committed governing body.
