We are seeking enthusiastic, innovative and motivated individuals to join our Higher Education team in Taunton to participate in the delivery and development of our Nursing Programmes.
This role will initially focus on the Fd Nursing Associate Higher Apprenticeship programme which sits within our Health, Care and Integrated Professions Department.
The University Centre Somerset is working in partnership with the University of the West of England and local primary and secondary care employers to develop Nursing Associates that will be employed across the evolving health and integrated care system in Somerset. The post holder will play a vital role in developing robust Nursing Associates who understand the fields of Nursing and the patient journey across the lifespan.
Responsibilities will focus on the teaching, assessment and support for trainee Nursing Associate apprentices, in the education and practice setting. We are looking to appoint individuals with contemporary experience in community, primary, acute or urgent care settings, with an understanding of current nurse education models, as well as experience in teaching.
Prospective candidates are required to hold a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council on Part 1 of the register and ideally hold a recordable teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
Experience of shaping or leading within an educational setting is an advantage but is not essential.
