QUALIFIED NURSERY PRACTITIONER/KEYPERSON
We are looking for a full time Practitioner that is perfect for our setting, who is able to uphold the high standards of care we offer. We are looking for a personality that is creative, confident, friendly, fun and caring , that provides our team with extra flare and further enthusiasm. You are required to work with all age groups 3mths-5years but could potentially be age specific if specialised experience has been gained. It is a 40 hour full time contracted position, Monday - Friday, with 28 days annual leave (inclusive on bank holidays) and birthdays off if they land on a weekday.
Following the EYFS standards, you will be required to adhere to nursery policies and procedures, and complete necessary required paperwork each day. Key working for a group of children, building and maintaining parent and child partnerships alongside, planning and assessment for each child, monitoring their learning and development at all stages. Ensuring the safety of our children on a day to day basis you will also be required to set up and carry out activities with the children of all ages, keeping them entertained and stimulated, ensuring all opportunities are learning ones. The ability to encourage positive behaviour, communication and social skills within the age groups you are working with will also be required.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders which have been made against them.
- Level 2 or 3 Early years Education/Early years and Childcare Qualification
- Previous experience of working in a nursery environment and key working within the EYFS curriculum
- Good literacy and ICT skills
- Confident, outgoing and enthusiastic disposition
- Level 3 childcare qualification
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Safeguarding and SEND Training
