Nursery Practitioner. Full time. Term Time Only (39 weeks per year). Permanent.
Leicester College has two-day nurseries offering a total of 83 places which provide high quality and inclusive integrated care and education to the children of students and employees of the College.
Based at the Abbey Park Campus, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating and caring environment for the children within our multi-cultural setting. You must demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum with experience of implementing it in an early year setting. You should be able to observe, plan, monitor, assess and support individual children’s learning and development and maintain records of progress.
The successful candidate will also be a good communicator who is highly motivated and enthusiastic with extensive experience of working with young children in partnership with their parents.
You must have a recognised childcare qualification at Level 3 or above and evidence of commitment to continuous professional improvement. You will also have achieved a Level 2 qualification or equivalent in English and maths.
