Part-time Nursery Setting Leader for Little Bears, St John’s Primary School
Salary: PS 6.1 Full time Equivalent £24, 780. Actual salary £20, 973
Working pattern: Full time Mon - Fri 8.30 – 4pm 39 weeks a year,
We are looking to appoint an energetic, enthusiastic Early Years practioner who can work with our Early Years Lead to engage with our current families and attract new families to our Little Bears Nursery (2-3 year olds). Our nursery is term time, 2.5 days a week. We pride ourselves on serving the FEET funded children in our community well. You will also take on an exciting new role of ‘Outreach worker’ for the under 2s in our community and to support your families throughout the week. We have a full time Home School Link Worker who will support you in this role.
We are looking for:
Level 3 qualification in childcare
Experience of working in a Nursery setting.
A ‘can do’ attitude who embraces a growth mindset approach.
To be able to build strong relationships and good rapport with parents, families and other professionals.
Detailed knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum and the statutory requirements of an Early Years setting.
Experience of the use of online assessment tools e.g. Tapestry.
Excellent communicator who knows the importance of early language development.
Determination to improve the life chances of children by offering the best quality start to their education.
High expectations of children based on a belief that all children can succeed.
To be organised, reliable and have good I.T. skills.
Experience of working with children with additional needs e.g. E.A.L or SEND is desirable.
Previous experience of leading a room in Nursery is desirable.
Forest Schools training or Early Years ELSA is desirable.
