The governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and committed member of staff to work in our busy school office, providing temporary maternity cover for the existing post holder. The post is 30 hours a week, 40 weeks of the year, starting as soon as possible after interview but no later than 18th November 2019.
The school office is open between 8am and 5pm and your working pattern will be four long mornings 8-2pm and one afternoon 11-5pm to meet the operational requirements of the school. The School Office Administrator works closely with the School’s Registrar, Administrator and Personal Assistant and plays a key frontline role in the day-to-day running of our School Office and in supporting pupils, parents, staff and the wider school community. You will have responsibility for your own specialist areas of work and for the completion of a wide range of administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will be able to share information with colleagues within a small team, recognising when to seek support and advice. You must be confident and feel comfortable in your ability to maintain highly positive and effective working relationships with others. You will also have strong IT/typing skills, good practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and open to using a variety of bespoke administrative and accounting systems. Other requirements are to handle responsibility and to see tasks through to completion, managing your time, to multi-task and deliver against agreed deadlines.
Aptitude for the role and an ability to learn quickly are as important as previous school experience.
