Role: Online Tutor - MA International Relations: Global Security and Development

Fee for services: Up to £4000 per 15-week module
CEG Digital has partnered with the University of Plymouth to deliver a programme of courses taught online within a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), Moodle. The flexible learning programmes equip students with valuable skills and knowledge, without interrupting income and career progression.
This exciting new MA course has been developed to provide students with an integrated understanding of contemporary International Relations with a particular focus on the practice of security and developmental politics. The programme has an interdisciplinary approach, combining different social sciences to address debates on security, trade policy, sustainable development, conflict resolution and global governance via a dynamic, problem-based approach to teaching and assessment. The core modules offered are Global Governance and World Order; Strategy and Security Studies; Economic Diplomacy and Development; Regional Geopolitics as well as a Dissertation.
We are seeking a tutor to work on the first module in this programme of study. This initial module aims to provide the foundations for the rest of the degree by explaining the international system and the challenges of global governance. It will cover the many varieties of international cooperation, with thematic case studies on issues such as development and the environment. Students taking this module will gain a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the different forms of global governance, relating these to different theories of international relations. They will develop their analytical skills and refresh their academic skills.
Expressions of interest are also welcome from applicants with expertise relevant to future modules of the course, with contracted start dates in January and June 2023: Module 2 - Strategy and Security Studies; Module 3 - Economic Diplomacy and Development.
