Part / Full time Electrical Installation Apprenticeship Skills Coach
up to £24,131 p.a.
As an Apprenticeship Skills Coach you are responsible for supporting the apprentice and their employer to ensure that the apprentice receives the support and training to achieve their apprenticeship. This is realised by working with the apprentices, their employer and the college to set targets to ensure the apprentices develops the necessary skills and knowledge so they are ready for a career in the electrical industry.
Working closely with apprentices, their employers and the college you will monitor and review their progress, setting targets to improve and optimise the apprentice’s performance so that they achieve in a timely manner.
You will monitor the completion of the 20% off the job training requirement and support apprentices and employers to achieve this. You will Develop relationships with both existing and new employers, you will actively secure training opportunities and support the growth of apprenticeships.
Naturally, you will develop employers' assessment capabilities, and make sure they are aware of their health, safety and equal opportunities obligations.
The ideal candidate will have an electrical installation background and experience of working with young people and employers, experience of apprenticeships would also be beneficial.
Nescot College is set in an attractive green campus outside Epsom with a large free on-site car park, in a location convenient to London and the South East, next to a mainline station with excellent transport links. The College has recently undergone extensive redevelopment and we are able to offer the facilities of a College campus in 7 acres of green belt in a peaceful setting.
