As a Cook (with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a School or Hospitality industry), you will work closely with the Catering Manager and another Cook to plan, prepare, cook and serve high quality meals to our staff and pupils.
When working in the fully set up school kitchen, you will be happy to work as part of a small team, sharing the duties necessary to ensure that meal service is delivered on time and to a very high standard.
You will be confident to turn your hand to all types of cooking, including both sweet and savoury dishes, whilst complying with Nutritional Standards and keeping our 5* Health and Hygiene rating.
It is important that you are able to form good relationships and communicate well with your colleagues, staff and children that you will meet daily.
You will be required to work Monday and Tuesday, term time only, for 6 hours each day (0730 – 1330 daily). Some flexibility to occasionally work additional hours Wednesday – Friday lunchtimes when necessary would be an advantage.
