We are looking to appoint a Librarian to work in our library on Mondays during term time with students with SEN.
Part Time Librarian
6.5 hours per week, Term Time only
£3,381 - £3,567 per annum inclusive of Outer London Weighting, Scale 4
Additonal Allowance: £194, Special Schools Allowance
Location: Hillingdon, Middlesex
Work Pattern: Every Monday; 8.45am - 3.15pm
Start Date: September 2019
Meadow High School is a special needs school which provides education for secondary aged students aged 11-19 years with moderate and complex needs including challenging behaviour and autism.
The post involves working alongside teachers, supporting pupils learning environment and personal care. Energy, fitness and enthusiasm to work with these pupils is required. Induction and training including First Aid and Team Teach will be given for this rewarding job which offers the chance to progress. The school had received a good OFSTED report for the quality of the teaching it provides.
The post is wide-ranging and the successful applicant will support the Librarian in managing the Library service and inspire pupils in the use of a progressive Library facility.
Candidates must have a post-graduate qualification in Library or Information Studies, or related qualification, and ideally have professional experience of working within a Library. Experience of using a range of online databases, resources and IT applications would also be preferred.
