Part-time Science Technician
Starting ASAP – Permanent (Salary ELM5 - FTE £23,243 - £25,484. p.a.)
20.75 or 27.00 hours (3-4 days) per week - 38.4 weeks (term time only)
Actual Salary
4 days - £14,766 - £16,190 p.a.
3 days - £11,348 - £12,442 p.a.
Working Pattern: 8:00am – 3:30pm Monday, Tuesday and Friday
9:00am – 2:30pm Thursdays
ElmWey Learning Trust is a multi-academy trust, comprising two local secondary schools including Heathside Weybridge, a successful, oversubscribed 11-18 secondary school. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Science Technician.
You will support teaching and learning by:
• preparing and providing chemicals, equipment and materials for lessons,
• servicing laboratories, including cleaning of equipment between lessons
• providing timely support to all teaching staff in the Science department
• monitoring stock and supplies and undertaking administration tasks
• helping ensure health and safety in the Science department
The role includes working alongside teachers to support learning in practical lessons and demonstrations. Candidates should:
• have experience working in a Scientific/Laboratory environment, know how to prepare and maintain supplies and equipment and possess a working knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• be able to communicate effectively and be competent in IT and admin tasks
