Vale of Evesham School is a Specialist School for Cognition and Learning, that caters for pupils who have moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties. Many of our pupils have other barriers to their learning including autism, challenging behaviour, physical disabilities and complex health needs. Our nursery supports pre-school children with additional needs and prepares them for entry into both mainstream and specialist schools. The school also has a residential provision for weekly boarders, which ensures that we offer a 24 hour curriculum for 15 pupils.
We are currently looking for a Pastoral Coordinator to join our committed staff team in supporting all aspects of safeguarding across the school. Reporting to the Headteacher, you will act as a designated safeguarding lead within school, and work closely with and support the school's senior leadership team with all aspects of safeguarding. You will also take the lead on matters relating to attendance, and developing parent liaison.
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, although exact working hours could be negotiable for the right candidate.
As a school we promote professional development and will offer ongoing training to the successful applicant.
Visits to the school can be arranged if required.
