We are looking for a Pastoral Interventional Leader to join our supportive and talented team at Hanham Woods Academy. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.
This role is Term Time Only + 5 Inset days and there is some flexibility as to when the hours are worked.
What we are looking for:
To be successful in the post, we are looking for a Pastoral Interventional Leader, who under the general direction of the Designated Safeguarding Lead Officer, to implement Social, Emotional and behavioural support for students. This includes supporting staff and parents/carers in meeting the needs of the students’ education, behaviour and welfare whilst upholding the Acacdemy’s ethos and values. The post holder will be expected to use initiative to anticipate requirements and deal with situations as they arise while recognising that there may be a need to involve other support.
The Inclusion Team provides a link between the way in which children and young people learn, their social and emotional literacy and behaviours. The role of the Inclusion Team is to support and enhance the student’s relationship with self, others and the educational process. The Inclusion Team has a positive role, modelling and implementing up to date approaches and information for students, staff, parents/carers and other professionals. Its principles are applied to all students and not just those perceived as being “difficult to engage”. A Team approach underpins this link.

About the Cabot Learning Federation
The Cabot Learning Federation is a diverse Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in the South West. We currently sponsor eight secondary academies and eight primary academies, an all through provision, Digitech Studio School and a discrete Post 16 provision and an alternative provision which consists of one primary and two secondary phases.
Hanham Woods Academy is part of the Cabot Learning Federation and is one of the most improved Academies in the South West, providing education to over 800 students. The Academy joined the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) in 2014. The CLF is the largest non-diocesan academy group in the South West. The CLF currently sponsors 13 academies, seven of which are secondary, five are primary and one is a studio school catering for students aged 14-19.
