Pastoral Tutor (Full-Time – Fixed Term/ Permanent) - Cardiff
St. David’s College is a popular and over-subscribed Sixth Form College providing high quality education for 16-19 year olds within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. In our 2019 Estyn inspection we achieved an ‘excellent’ grade in inspection area one for standards, and in inspection area five for leadership and management.
As a Pastoral Tutor, you will provide focussed learner support; ensuring that all learners fulfil their potential during their time with us in the College.
The successful candidate will understand the importance of pastoral support and have a strong commitment to the high achievement of young people.
Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work in a team to share good practice and provide support and advice for students across the ability range.
The post will involve class-based delivery of elements of the Welsh Baccalaureate, so an educational background would be desirable. The role will involve mixture of classes and one to one sessions.
The role is full year (not term time only) and offers 34 days annual leave.
The College operates a Sixth Form College academic year and therefore the Autumn Term begins in late August to allow for enrolment activities.

The position is Full time, Fixed term/ Permanent and attracts a salary of (£20,020 – 23,626) dependant on experience.
