The Governors of Moorland Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Estates Manager. It is desirable that you will have previous experience in a school background although this is not essential.
You will be responsible for the smooth running of the school, have good organisational and communication skills, with a flexible and adaptable approach. The successful applicant will be responsible for the upkeep and general care of the school and undertake minor repairs and maintenance (DIY skills are essential).
The successful applicant will:-
Manage the general upkeep of the school, undertaking minor repairs, redecoration and maintenance
Be responsible for the opening and closing of the school and undertaking regular security checks
Oversee the efficient working of the school’s lighting, heating, fire and alarm systems, advising on matters relating to energy control and conservation
Provide a porterage service on site – including banking duties
Assist in the management and operation of lettings
Assist in safety audits of the premises and comply with Health and Safety guidelines at all times
Show initiative and commitment and a willingness to develop in the
Actively contribute to the ethos and aims of the school
Have a willingness to get involved in school activities
Support and assist with traffic management initiatives
Help to develop the potential of the school grounds
A full driving licence and own transport is essential for the post.
