It is an exciting time for Glan-yr-Afon Primary School in Llanrumney and the Governing Body wish to appoint a Grade 4 teaching assistant on a permanent basis to join the team and be part of our journey! An ability to contribute to the warm, caring, inclusive ethos of the school is essential.
This post would be ideal for someone wishing to further develop their career as a teaching assistant, someone in a temporary TA post wishing to move into a permanent position, or for a graduate wishing to gain school experience before entering teaching. The successful person will work with teachers to deliver small-group and individual interventions, as well as in-class support.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills to work well as part of a dedicated team. They will be friendly, kind, caring, patient, and have a great sense of humour. Extra interests or skills in sports would be very useful as well – we need someone to organise our football team!
The suitable candidate will have experience in the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 or whatever the activity or learning taking place, or whatever other tasks need to be completing to make the learning environments the exciting, engaging, organised and inviting areas they needs to be.
