Governors are looking to appoint an outstanding candidate to the key role of Phase Lead 3-16 within the Abertillery Learning Community (ALC).
The successful candidate will have a strong record of leadership and management in a challenging educational environment. The Phase Lead will report to the Headteacher and the Governing Body to establish the all through education ethos across the learning community.
The priority will be to take the operational lead of a primary campus together with the provision of professional leadership and management for the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will have accountability for high quality learning, efficient and effective use of resources and improved standards of teaching and achievement for all learners. The successful candidate will role model excellent teaching practice across the primary phase.
ALC is an all through Learning Community based in the town of Abertillery. It is comprised of a Secondary Campus and 3 Primary campuses, Six Bells Campus, Roseheyworth Rd Campus and Tillery St Campus. It is an exciting and unique organisation and, as a multi campus all through school, all staff are afforded a wide range of opportunities for carefully co-ordinated cross phase working that supports both learner and staff development.
