Primary Early Careers Teachers (NQT's) - to be employed by the Trust and deployed within Leicestershire - Fixed term to 31st August 2022 in the first instance
Our Catholic Multi Academy Trust (‘CMAT’) has been in existence since September 2018, and it comprises 17 primary schools and 4 secondary schools. We have a staff body of around 1,300 people, and we serve over 8,600 young people across Leicester and Leicestershire. If belonging to an organisation with the size and scale to fully support you and to develop your career journey is something you seek, then these posts would be ideal for you.
As a Catholic organisation, our faith in Christ and the values that flow from that are at the heart of everything. We work hard to earn the very positive reputation enjoyed by Catholic schools both in the wider community, and for way in which we care for, support and develop our staff.
The scale of our organisation enables us to take on additional staffing to respond to pupil needs. We are seeking to develop a team of strong teachers who can be deployed to meet these needs. You will be guaranteed to have a class in one of our schools from August 2021 and could not be better supported throughout your first year of teaching, as one of the 87 new national Teaching School Hubs has been established within our CMAT. The Leicestershire and Rutland Teaching School Hub will be a centre of excellence for teacher training and development across the region. It will play a significant role in delivering school-based initial teacher training (ITT), the early career framework (ECF) when it is available nationally from September 2021, the new specialist and leadership national professional qualifications (NPQ) and appropriate body services for early career teachers.
Please ensure that you highlight in the application form which phase of primary education excites you most and if there are any of the schools in the Trust that you feel you would not be able to work at. We do not expect to receive a covering letter with your application.
Additionally, if you are able to start with us from May half term you will paid as an unqualified teacher throughout the summer enabling you to start your teaching career in the best possible way.
If you would like to discuss this opportunity with us further, please call the HR team at the Trust main office in Cossington
Please complete and return the application and other forms by 10am on Wednesday 14th April 2021 with the exception of the Rehabilitation of Offenders form that should only be completed and sent if you are shortlisted.
