The Academy was inspected in June 2016 and was described as Good with the ‘Early Years Provision’ and ‘Personal development, behaviour and welfare’ graded as Outstanding. An achievement which the school community and Oasis Community Learning are justly very proud. The Inspectors identified that the school’s vision is to create an environment for ‘ambitious students with the character and skills to choose their own path’ was clearly evident during their visit.
We are looking to appoint someone who has the experience and passion to ensure these Good and Outstanding evaluations are sustained and hopefully exceeded.
Growth and development
Currently the Academy has 177 students on roll. Students are able to flourish in an environment where lessons can be personalised to ensure that all abilities are catered for including supporting students who have the greatest developmental needs and challenging and extending those whose learning is developing at pace. Staff benefit from strong CPD and use a variety of teaching techniques to make sure that every student has the best start to their educational journey.
We do not expect you to do this alone. You will enjoy the support and challenge of a Regional Director along with the wider OCL National Team. By being part of a family of 52 Oasis Academies, you will work alongside expert leaders in their field and benefit from a strong support network and partnership with 5 other Oasis Community Learning primaries within the region. You will have many opportunities to share best practice and drive continual improvement, including an annual Regional conference, Regional Improvement Networks and access to a growing CPD programme nationally.
