Principal – Beechwood College
Salary: £60000 to £70000 with more available for an exceptional candidate, plus excellent benefits including private healthcare

Beechwood College is an independent specialist residential college on the outskirts of Cardiff. The college offers day and residential placements to learners aged 16 years of age and over that have autism, additional learning needs and associated complex behaviours that may challenge.
The college currently caters for up to 60 young people and adults between the ages of 16 - 25 years. Of these, 21 learners are funded directly by Welsh Government, and 39 learners are funded by social services and health authorities from a wide range of local authorities across England and Wales.
The college has an excellent reputation with both parents and placing authorities and the successful candidate will need to have the vision and strategic leadership to build on this work.
The college’s strategic leadership team includes the Principal, assistant Principal, Service Director, General Manager and the Clinical Lead. The college Principal leads a team of lecturers and learning support assistants and has responsibility for the provision and delivery of all education programmes. It is essential that the Principal is also able to work successfully in conjunction with the Service Director and Clinical Lead to deliver targeted outcomes outside the education day.
The board of directors is seeking an exceptional individual with extensive experience in special education to inspire, lead and innovate. They are looking for an outstanding leader who can demonstrate a proven successful track record, comprehensive understanding of both the Education and Care setting for SEN, and the determination to develop positive and engaging relationships with all the key stakeholders, working closely with the students.
