Programme Lead Maths (Adult and Community) Part Time (22.2 hours per week). Permanent.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Curriculum Area for a Programme Lead in Adult and Community Maths & English. We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in Functional Skills maths, who is able to work with our team to develop our curriculum.
The role will include working with the Programme Area Manager to monitor courses and course data and plan programmes to maximise resource and funding. This includes tracking learner progress, retention and achievement, and working with processes to support this.
The role is currently based at City Skills Centre, and you will work together with another Programme Lead on the day-to-day coordination of all English and maths provision for adults, and tutors at this site. You will also work with a team of maths tutors across the whole department to develop the curriculum. Programme Leads have a teaching timetable.
Applicants will hold a full teaching qualification, be educated to Level 2 in English and Level 5 in maths. You will have a track record of delivering high quality teaching and learning. Experience of leading course provision is essential together with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality and performance indicators and to co-ordinate IQA, Experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths to part-time adult students would be an advantage.
