Programme Lead for Engineering – Motor Vehicle. Full Time. Permanent.
Our high performing engineering team is at the forefront of technical educational delivery, offering both Technical Certificates/Advanced Diplomas and the latest T-Level qualifications.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a Motor Vehicle background, ideally with light vehicle, motor sport, electric and hybrid vehicle experience.
The successful applicant will teach across a range of full time and part time programmes of study and may also deliver across Higher Education and full-cost commercial based courses based on industrial and prior teaching experience.
Applicants are invited from education and/or industry and ideally able to deliver subjects such as Vehicle Engines, Chassis systems, Transmission systems, Electrical and Electrical system, Hybrid and Electric vehicle principles of maintenance, diagnostics, and repair and have an excellent working knowledge of light vehicle, motor sport, electric and hybrid vehicle.
The Programme Lead role will include working closely with the Programme Area Manager to monitor courses and course data and plan programmes to maximise resource and funding.
Ensuring student progress is tracked and maintained on College IT systems, and retention and achievement levels are maintained and improved are important features of the Programme Lead's responsibilities, as well as the development and implementation of systems/processes and other improvements to support the management of learning.
Candidates for the Programme Lead vacancy will hold a minimum Level 2 in maths and English (or equivalent), a level 3 vocational qualification and a recognised teaching qualification at level 5 or above.
Successful applicants will have a track record of delivering high quality teaching and learning, and experience of leading course provision and coordinating IV are essential together with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality and performance indicators.
