As Programme Manager in the East Midlands Area, you will lead a team of teachers and teaching assistants who deliver a bespoke curricula to young people with special educational needs.
You'll lead and manage all aspects of your area, developing and building effective working relationships with partner Schools, Colleges and Local Authorities.
Most of the young people we teach are on the autistic spectrum and/or have a learning disability. Some have an additional physical disability or mental health concerns. We have a brilliant track record giving young people the tools they need to transform their lives, with educational programmes designed specifically for each learner as they prepare for adult life.
Learning takes place both at our venues in and in the local community.
You'll make sure that the quality of teaching is excellent, and be familiar with Ofsted requirements meeting the needs of learners in a way that is engaging, imaginative and effective. You'll lead, motivate and develop the educational team, taking responsibility for mentoring, performance development and management.
Although you will be based at our site in Leicestershire, you will travel around the East Midlands and Warwickshire area and to other MacIntyre locations such as Milton Keynes. You will also be part of our on-call rota.
Please be aware: although we deliver learning on a term-time basis, the role of Programme manager is 52 weeks a year
You must have a teaching qualification or Diploma in Education Level 5.
You'll need extensive experience working with children or young people who have learning difficulties, Autism and complex needs, and an excellent understanding of the issues they face.
You'll be an inspirational leader with extensive educational management experience, effective at building relationships with staff, learners and their families. and external stakeholders.
And of course you'll be skilled in financial and budget management.
You must be a driver with your own transport.
